Come as you are. Everyone is welcome in their Sunday best or even your work clothes.
Yes! Children are precious members of the family of God. Even if they sound like children and act like children, they are more than welcome to be a part of worship.
Yes we do. Children K-6 may attend our Sunday school program during the worship hour. Youth 6th-12th grade meet twice per month. We have adult forum classes twice per month following worship.
We are part of the Reformed branch of the Church, tracing our roots back to the Reformation in Switzerland, and we place a high value on God's grace - whoever you are, wherever you have come from, we believe God loves you, God wants to be in relationship with you, and God has a purpose for you. As part of that understanding of the worth and giftedness of all people, Presbyterians have a democratic rather than hierarchical form of government, so that we all have a voice in discerning God's will.
Yes. We practice an open table, so anyone who believes in Christ and wants to know him better is welcome to come to the table. Communion is not for people who have figured it all out, but for all of us who need to experience God's grace. In Communion, we remember our identity as the family of Christ together, and we rejoice in the nurture and nourishment that we receive through Christ's presence in our gathering. At Summerville, we celebrate Communion on the first Sunday of every month.
Yes. We welcome all singers and ringers regardless of ability. The bell choir rehearses Wednesday at 6:30pm and the choir rehearses Wednesday at 7:30pm.
